Please let me introduce myself quickly. I am a guitar player from the Netherlands. After quitting my musical career more than a decade ago, I have recently rediscovered how much fun it can be to study and play guitar (and music in general). Without the pressure of generating a steady income as a ‘professional’ musician, I am now completely free to spend all of my time on practicing only those things I really love.

Improvisation is what I like most, and therefor everything I practice is somehow related to it. Once I decided to pick up the guitar again, I was a bit embarrassed to find out how many blind spots I was able to identify in my technique on a very basic level. But if you want to become a good improviser, you need to be honest with yourself and be willing to work hard. So, that’s what I started doing and it pays off!

One and a half year ago, I started an in dept study on triads and also intervals. The latter is now slowly moving towards counterpoint on guitar. I have documented many of the things I have studied and explored. And what is maybe more important, I also documented how I study. You can find out more about this, and of course support me, via my Patreon website!

Have fun!
